Poem: Priceless Worthless Speechless Words
"I love you,"
Isn't that so easy?
Isn't talk cheap?
Don't you say it so trivially?
But what else do you say?
"I'll die for you," but I want you to live!
"I'll give for you," but you give so much, why won't you take instead for once?
"I'll try for you," strive for your own sake, you absurd woman
So what else do we say when there's no words to say what we mean?
"I love you."
You do, I know. It's true.
But what does that even mean?
Do you know how it stirs me, when you say these thoughtless things?
Careless, absurd, foolish woman.
Don't you ever think of anyone but yourself?
Ah but of course you do.
That is what love is, isn't it?
Thinking of someone but yourself.
Thinking of them till it drives you mad.
Thinking of them till it makes a fool of you.
You know.
I love you.
I really, really love you.
I wish I had more than words to give.
